(AP) — Three online dating leaders consented to monitor for sex offenders and just simply take other security actions after a female had been assaulted on a night out together, the Ca attorney general’s workplace announced Tuesday.
Match.com, eHarmony and Spark Networks finalized a statement that is joint of maxims designed to offer a good example for the industry and assistance protect well from sexual predators, identification theft and economic frauds.
“customers will be able to utilize internet sites without having the concern about being scammed or targeted,” Attorney General Kamala D. Harris stated in a declaration.
The companies agreed Monday to check subscribers against national sex registries, supply members with online safety tips, and provide a quick way to report abuses among other things. A number of the businesses already are with a couple of these methods.
The online dating services also will give you the attorney general’s workplace with reports of suspected criminal activity, she said.
